Dehradun: The International Uttarakhand Chef Association (IUCA) held an important meeting in Dehradun to discuss plans for promoting Uttarakhand’s traditional cuisine, local food products, and culinary culture at the national and international level.

The IUCA team, including its President Chef Mukesh Mehra, Chef Sagar Singh Bisht, Chef Shubham Negi, Chef Tara Bhatt, Chef Bijendra Bijalwan, and Chef Surjan Bangarwal, participated in the meeting. The event was hosted by anchor Ayushi Juyal.

Several renowned local chefs, including Chef Pradeep Sharma, Chef Vinod Baloni, Gulab Singh Negi, Rahul Bisht, and Naveen, also joined the initiative and extended their support.

The primary objective of IUCA is to bring Uttarakhand’s chef community onto a common platform and create new opportunities at the national and international levels. The association also plans to promote traditional Garhwali and Kumaoni cuisine, local ingredients, mountain delicacies, and the state’s food culture.

As part of this vision, IUCA is working towards organizing a major culinary and chef community program in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2027. Through such initiatives, the association aims to give Uttarakhand’s chefs, food producers, and traditional cuisine a strong presence on the global culinary stage.
